The Old Witta School Community Centre Inc is undertaking an extensive upgrade to the power supply on the property. This will greatly enhance operations for those who utilise the school building and its grounds.
The OWS Committee has applied for grants to assist with the cost (approximately $10,500) and will also engage in fundraising events to enable the project.
The OWS Community is very grateful to those who have donated to and supported this project:
- NHP Electrical Engineering Products for internal lights for the kitchen and main hall,
- enLighten Australia for external floodlights,
- iDeal,North Lakes for a new sensor light,
- Craig Titheridge, Witta Wires for invaluable assistance with design and contacting electrical providers.
Stage 1
- A power pole has been installed and the meter box is wired and ready.
- Approval from Energex and Origin has been granted.
- At the completion of Stage 1, more power will be available for the grounds.
Stage 2
Stage 2 will see power running from the new pole to the school building. Grant applications have been lodged to assist with this.
To support Stage 2 a fundraising raffle is underway.The stallholders at the Witta Markets have kindly donated products and vouchers for our raffle.
