Early in 2019 a fundraising project was begun to upgrade the water supply at the Old Witta School, the goal being the purchase of a new 22,500 litre (5,000 gallon) rainwater tank. To launch initiative a raffle was held at the Witta Market on 16 February, 2019.

The prize was a very classy wheelbarrow loaded with garden products. The Old Witta School Committee thanks Maleny Town and Country and Liam Price of Hindsight Wealth for donating $250 to fill the barrow.
